Sun, 16 April 2006  Welcome to Gtone Podcast, the podcast for all things Application Driven Telephony. Episodes should be available each Thursday or Friday. Application Driven Telephony is telephony where the focus is not on dial tone, but application tone. A good example is Skype where the emphasis is to build communities around ebay sellers. We use Skype to record our interviews for our guests. It is good quality and allows us to speed up the delivery of podcasts. Like all good podcasts we use Apple Powerbooks with Tiger OSX. The podcast workflow is done in the excellent Garageband in iLife 06. Recording is via Skype, recorded in NiceCast, cleaned up in Audacity and published in Libsyn.
